Vincristine-irinotecan with or without temozolomide for relapsed or refractory rhabdomyosarcoma
Dr. Anne-Sophie Defachelles
At the time of relapse, rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is generally refractory to treatment. New systemic therapies are urgently needed. The European randomized phase 2 VIT-0910 study evaluated vincristine-irinotecan with or without temozolomide for relapsed or refractory RMS in patients aged 0.5 to 50 years. Addition of temozolomide to vincristine-irinotecan was associated with higher response (44% versus 31%) and significant improvement of PFS and OS.
