Ten-year results of a multinational phase 3 trial of adjuvant chemoradiotherapy versus radiotherapy for high-risk endometrial cancer

The phase 3 PORTEC-3 trial, at 103 centers in 7 countries, evaluated addition of chemotherapy to adjuvant radiotherapy among women with high-risk endometrial cancer. Ten-year follow-up results have now been published. Both ten-year overall survival and recurrence-free survival were improved by addition of chemotherapy to radiotherapy, with most clinically relevant benefit suggested for p53 absnormal cancers.
