Systematic review and meta-analysis of safety and efficacy of oncolytic virotherapy among patients with malignancies

Meta-analysis of 186 clinical trials with 6979 participants provides robust evidence on the tolerability and efficacy of oncolytic virotherapy in cancer treatment. Oncoloytic virotherapy demonstrated significant potential, both as monotherapy and in combination regimens, offering a favorable balance of efficacy and safety. Virotherapy combined with immunotherapy exhited a more favorable safety profile compared with other combinations. The therapeutic efficacy of oncolytic virotherapy varied across multiple factors.
