The incidence of young-onset colorectal cancer (yoCRC; diagnosed before age 50 years) is increasing. It is unknown if there are survival differences between young and older patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. Analysis of results of the multicenter CALGB/SWOG 80405 trial found no statistically significant differences in survival between mCRC patients with young-onset disease and older patients (median OS 27.07 versus 26.12 months; p=0.78).
