Survival impact of adjuvant chemotherapy after multiagent neoadjuvant chemotherapy and resection for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma
Prof. Marco Del Chiaro
The number of patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) who receive multiagent neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) is increasing. The added benefit of adjuvant chemotherapy (AC) after NAC and resection for PDAC is not clear. Propensity score-matched analysis of the National Cancer Database found that AC versus no AC was associated with improved survival. The benefit varied by age, pathological T category, and tumor differentiation.
