Single-center retrospective study of stereotactic radiosurgery for lung cancer spinal metastases
Prof. Peter Gerszten
Lung cancer spinal metastases may present with intractable pain and neurological deficits. A retrospective study at the University of Pittsburg (PA) found that among patients with lung cancer spinal metastases, radiosurgery provided local control (6-month and 12-month rates of 88% and 75%, respectively) and pain palliation with minimal rates of toxicity.
