Single-center retrospective analysis of cumulative incidence and survival outcomes of brain metastases from sarcoma
Dr. David Shultz
A retrospective study at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre included 5110 sarcoma patients diagnosed from 2006 to 2023. The cumulative incidence of brain metastases
(BrM) was 2.9% at 72 months with a median onset of 17 months. In multivariate analysis, intrathoracic primary and alveolar soft part were associated with higher BrM incidence, while age ≥ 59 years and liposarcoma were associated with lower BrM incidence. The median overall survival after BrM diagnosis was 6 months.
