Single-center phase 2 trial of anlotinib plus the anti-PD-L1 antibody TQB2450 for advanced alveolar soft part sarcoma
Prof. Jiaqong Liu
There is no established treatment for alveolar soft part sarcoma (ASPS). A phase 2 study at Peking University Cancer Hospital & Institute (Beijing, China) evaluated the combination of the TKI anlotinib and the anti-PD-L1 antibody TQB2450 (aka benmelstobart) for advanced ASPS. The overall response rate was 82.1% with complete response in 14.2% of patients. The median time to response was 2.8 months, and the median duration of response was not reached, with a median progression-free survival of 35.2 months. Grade 3 or 4 treatment-related adverse events occurred in 44.8% of patients; there was no grade 5 TRAE. The authors conclude that the combination of anlotinib and TQB2450 is effective and tolerable in patients with advanced ASPS.
