Shifting incidence and survival of epithelial ovarian cancer in high income countries (1995-2014)
Dr. Isabelle Soerjomataram
A SurvMark-2 program study investigated trends in incidence and survival of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) in seven high income countries (Australia, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, and the United Kingdom) from 1995 to 2014. There was a marked increase in serous carcinoma incidence among women aged 65-99 years, while incidence of adenocarcinoma not otherwise specified decreased among women aged 15-64 years and women aged 65-99 years. The survival of EOC improved in all countries, with 5-year absolute percent change ranging from 5.0% in Canada to 12.6% in Denmark.
