Savolitinib for pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinomas and other NSCLCs harboring MET exon 14 skipping alterations
Prof. Shun Lu
A phase 2 study at 32 hospitals in China evaluated the selective MET TKI savolitinib for advanced pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinomas and other non-small cell lung cancer subtypes positive for MET exon 14 skipping alterations. In the tumor response evaluable set the IRC-assessed objective response rate was 49.2% (95% CI 36.1-62.3). All patients reported at least one treatment-related adverse event, and TRAEs of grade 3 or more were observed in 46% of patients. The authors conclude that savolitinib could be a novel treatment option in this population.
