Analysis of three databases between 2011 and 2020 in Canada, Germany, and the United States, found that among patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer, significant differences between the countries existed in percentage of patients receiving at least a first line of therapy. The median overall survival from diagnosis was 13.2 months in Germany compared with 9.9 months in the United States and 4.1 months in Canada. Among patients receiving first-line therapy, the median OS from start of therapy was 10.9 months in Canada and Germany and 10.7 months in the United States. OS from start of first-line therapy improved in all three countries from 2011 to 2020 by approximately 3 to 4 months. The authors conclude that the difference in proportion of patients receiving first-line therapy in the three countries requires further investigation.
