Retrospective cohort study of surgical outcomes after implementation of robotic-assisted surgery for endometrial carcinoma
Prof. Oliver Zivanovic
A retrospective cohort study evaluated the impact of implementation of robotic-assisted surgery for endometrial carcinoma at the University Hospital Heidelberg (Germany). The study compared outcomes in the 18 months before implementation versus outcomes in the 18 months after implementation. Implementation of robotic-assisted surgery significantly reduced laparotomy rates and hospital stays while increasing SLN mapping.
