Retrospective analysis of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for NK/T-cell lymphoma
Dr. Philipp Berning
Natural killer/T-cell lymphomas (NKTCL) are aggressive lymphoid malignancies. A retrospective analysis of NKTCL patients of cooperating European and Asian centers evaluated allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) in NKTCL. With a median follow-up of 4.8 years, the 3-year PFS and OS were 48.6% and 55.6%, respectively, while non-relapse mortality at 1 year was 14.8% and 1-year relapse incidence was 29.6%. The authors conclude that allo-HSCT can result in long-term survival in approximately half of patients allografted for NKTCL.
