Real-world outcomes of palbociclib monotherapy for retroperitoneal liposarcomas at a large volume sarcoma center
Dr. Emily Keung
Palbociclib has been evaluated in early phase trials for well-differentiated liposarcoma (WDLPS) and dedifferentiated liposarcoma (DDLPS), with reported median progression-free survival of 18 weeks. A retrospective study at MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX) investigated real-world outcomes of palbociclib monotherapy for advanced retroperitoneal WDLPS and DDLPS. The authors conclude that efficacy of monotherapy was disappointing, with no clear benefit from treatment and few patients achieving prolonged tumor control.
