Combination of immunotherapy and antiangiogenic therapy has resulted in excellent survival outcomes in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in clinical trials. However, this combination has not been well studied outside clinical trials, and predictive factors are lacking. A retrospective analysis in four centers in China evaluated the combination of PD-1 inhibition and and antiangiogenesis for unresectable HCC. The objective response rate an disease control rate were 30.8% and 81.8%, respectively, while the median time to progression, progression-free survival, and overall survival were 7.2, 7.3, and 19.6 months, respectively. ECOG performance status 2, peritoneum metastasis, previous immunotherapy, Child-Pugh stage B, and high AFP concentrations were negative predictors of outcomes. Adverse events of any grade werd reported by more than 90% of patients.
