The multinational randomized HR-NBL 1.5 study compared rCOJEC versus MSKCC-N5 induction therapy regimens for high-risk neuroblastoma. There were no significant differences between the two groups for the endpoints metastatic complete response, 3-year event-free survival, and 3-year overall survival. Grade 3 and 4 acute toxicity was more frequent was MSKCC-N5 than with rCOJEC (68% of patients versus 48%; p<0.001). The authors conclude that rCOJEC should be the preferred induction regimen for high-risk neuroblastoma.
