Randomized phase 2 trial of addition of camrelizumab to neoadjuvant chemotherapy for stage IIIA or IIIB (T3N2) NSCLC

The randomized phase 2 TD-FOREKNOW trial, at two centers in China, evaluated addition of camrelizumab (anti-PD-1) to neoadjuvant chemotherapy for resectable stage IIIA or IIIB (T3N2) non-small cell lung cancer. The primary end point was pathologic complete response (pCR). The pCR rate was 32.6% (95% CI 19.1-48.5) with camrelizumab plus chemotherapy versus 8.9% (2.5-21.1) with chemotherapy alone (OR 4.95; p=0.008). The authors conclude that among patients with resectable stage IIIA or IIIB (T3N2) NSCLC, addition of camrelizumab to neoadjuvant chemotherapy was associated with an improved pCR rate (visual abstract).
