Randomized phase 2 study of endocrine therapies for breast cancer in men

The multicenter phase 2 study MALE in Germany randomized male patients with HR-positive breast cancer to tamoxifen alone, tamoxifen plus GnRHa, or aromatase inhibitor plus GnRHa. Patients in the two GnRHa arms experienced a sustained decrease of estradiol levels, associated with impaired sexual function and quality of life.
