PSA kinetics and association between PSA decline and clinical outcomes of apalutamide-ADT treated metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer

The multinational phase 3 TITAN trial evaluated addition of apalutamide or placebo to androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. Post hoc analysis of the study found that apalutamide plus ADT resulted in rapid, deep, and durable PSA decline, associated with better clinical outcomes when compared to placebo plus ADT, including longer survival, longer radiographic progression-free survival, longer time to PSA progression, and longer time to casstration resistance.
