Tebentafusp is a bispecific T-cell engager with first-line efficacy in HLA-A*02:01 adult patients with metastatic uveal melanoma. An OS benefit with tebentafusp over pembrolizumab was seen in a phase 3 trial. No randomized comparison of tebentafusp versus nivolumab plus ipilimumab has been reported. A propensity score analysis demonstrated a significant OS benefit with first-line tebentafusp over nivolumab plus ipilimumab, while no significant difference in OS was seen with pembrolizumab versus nivolumab plus ipilumab. The authors conclude that these data further support tebentafusp as the standard of care in previously untreated HLA-A*02:01 adult patients with metastatic uveal melanoma.
