Prognostic value of systemic inflammation and body composition in patients receiving PD-1 and HER2 blockade for advanced gastric cancer
Systemic Immune-inflammation Index (SII) and body composition parameters are easily assessed, and can predict overall survival (OS) in various cancer, allowing early intervention. A retrospective study at Peking University (Beijing, China) investigated the association of SII and CT-derived body composition parameters with OS in patients receiving dual blockade of PD-1 and HER2 for advanced gastric cancer. The study found that SII and subcutaneous fat area had significant prognostic value
for OS. Visceral fat area had no prognostic value.
