Prognostic impact of extracranial disease control in patients with HER2-positive breast cancer brain metastases

Brain metastases (BM) are common in patients with HER2-positive breast cancer (BC). Prognostic stratification of HER2-positive BCBM patients is crucial for optimal management. A study in Italy and France found that among these patients extracranial disease controle provided independent prognostic information beyond commonly used prognostic scores like BC-GPA, modified GPA, and updated GPA.
