Preoperative high-dose-rate brachytherapy for early-stage cervical cancer

A study in Marseille (France) found that in patients with early-stage cervical cancer, preoperative image-guided adaptive brachytherapy followed by minimally invasive surgery resudlted in high local control and reduction of rates of positive surgical margins and LVSI, avoiding adjuvant treatments. There were no grade 4 or 5 complications.
