Plasma four-protein signature predicts response of MET-dysregulated advanced NSCLC to MET inhibitors
Prof. Catherine Wong
MET inhibitors have shown efficacy for MET-dysregulated (overexpression or amplification) non-small cell lung cancer. There is a need for biomarkers to identify patients who might have response to MET inhibitors. A study at Guangdong Lung Cancer Institute (Guangzhou, China) found that among patients with advanced NSCLC with MET-dysregulation, a plasma four-protein signature (MYH9, GNB1, ALOX12B, and HSD17B4) predicted response to MET inhibitors. The authors conclude that the signature can help in selecting patients who may benefit from MET inhibitors.
