Physical activity in stage III colon cancer: CALGB/SWOG 80702

The multicenter phase 3 CALGB/SWOG 80702 trial randomized patients with stage III colon cancer to 3 versus 6 months of adjuvant FOLFOX with or without 3 years of celecoxib. A prospective cohort study nested within CALGB/SWOG 80702 found that larger volumes of recreational physical activity, longer durations of light-to-moderate-intenstiy aerobic physical activity, or any vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity were associated with the greatest improvements in disease-free survival.
