Phase 3 trial of addition of daratumumab to pomalidomide-dexamethasone for previously treated multiple myeloma

The multinational phase 3 study APOLLO compared daratumumab-pomalidomide-dexamethasone versus pomalidomide-dexamethasone alone for relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. The median PFS was 12.4 months with DaraPomDex versus 6.9 months with PomDex (HR 0.63; p=0.0018), with serious adverse events in 50% versus 39% of patients, respectively. The authors conclude dat DaraPomDex could be considered a new treatment option in this setting.
