The phase 3 RATIONALE 304 study in China evaluated addition of the anti-PD-1 antibody tislelizumab to first-line induction chemotherapy for advanced nonsquamous NSCLC. The median PFS was 9.7 months in the tislelizumab arm versus 7.6 months in the control arm (HR 0.645; p=0.0044). Additionally response rates were higher and response duration was longer in the tislelizumab arm compared to the control arm. The safety profile was acceptable.
