Up to 25% of patients with classical Hodgkin lymphoma develop relapsed or refractory disease following frontline therapy. A phase 2 study at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY) evaluated pembrolizumab plus gemcitabine, vinorelbine, and liposomal doxorubicin (pembro-GVD) for transplant eligible patients with R/R cHL after frontline therapy. Among 38 evaluable patients overall response was seen in 100% and complete response in 95%. Thirty-six patients (95%) proceeded to transplantation. All 36 patients were in remission at median post-transplant follow-up of 13.5 months (range 2.66-27.06).
