Phase 2 trial of neoadjuvant toripalimab with or without celecoxib for dMMR/MSI-H locally advanced colorectal cancer: 5-year outcomes

The non-comparative randomized phase 2 PICC trial at Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou, China) evaluated neoadjuvant toripalimab with or without celecoxib for patients with dMMR or MSI-H, locally advanced colorectal cancer. Five-year overall survival was 100% in the combination group and 94% in the toripalimab monotherapy group. Adverse events were mostly grade 1-2. At 3 years post-surgery, both groups reported high QLQ-C30 functional scores and low symptom burden. The authors conclude that neoadjuvant toripalimab with or without celecoxib resulted in promising long-term outcomes in this patient population.
