Phase 2 study of ibrutinib plus venetoclax for previously untreated CLL

A phase 2 study at MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX) included 80 previously untreated patients with CLL, who received combined ibrutinib and venetoclax for 24 cycles. Bone marrow-undetectable measurable residual disease remission was achieved by 56% of the patients at 12 cycles and 66% of the patients at 24 cycles. Overall, 75% achieved bone marrow U-MRD as best response. Three-year PFS was 93%, and three-year OS was 96%.
