Phase 2 study of first-line anlotinib plus platinum-etoposide for extensive-stage small cell lung cancer
Patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) have a poor prognosis with a median overall survival of less than 10 months when treated with standard chemotherapy. A phase 2 study at Central South University (Changsa, China) evaluated the combination of anlotinib with platinum-etoposide chemotherapy as first-line treatment for ES-SCLC. The median progression-free and overall survival were 8.02 months and 15.87 months, respectively. The treatment was well tolerated.
