Phase 2 study of durvalumab plus tremelimumab for advanced soft tissue and bone sarcomas
Dr. Neeta Somaiah
Few standard treatment options are available for patients with metastatic sarcomas. A phase 2 trial at MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX) evaluated the combination of durvalumab (anti-PD-L1) and tremelimumab (anti-CTLA-4) for advanced or metastatic soft tissue and bone sarcomas. The combination was an active regimen, with a progression-free survival rate of 49% at 12 weeks. There was one grade 5 event among 57 patients.
