The multicenter randomized phase 2 SALV-ENZA trial evaluated addition of six months of enzalutamide (ENZA) versus placebo to salvage radiotherapy in men with recurrent prostate cancer after radical prostatectomy. The trial found that addition of ENZA was safe, and that the freedom from PSA progression was significantly better with ENZA plus salvage radiotherapy compared with placebo plus salvage radiotherapy. The impact of ENZA on distant metastasis or survival is unknown at this time.
