Pembrolizumab versus chemotherapy as second-line or third-line treatment for mTNBC

The multinational phase 3 study KEYNOTE-119 compared pembrolizumab monotherapy versus investigator-choice chemotherapy as second-line or third-line treatment for mTNBC. Among patients with PD-L1 CPS of 10 or more the OS-HR was 0.78 (p=0.057); among patients with PD-L1 CPS 1 or more the OS-HR was 0.86 (p=0.073); among all patients the median OS was longer with chemotherapy than with pembrolizumab (10.8 versus 9.9 months).
