Patient-reported outcomes with first-line nivolumab-cabozantinib versus sunitinib for advanced renal cell carcinoma

In the CheckMate 9ER trial, patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma who received first-line nivolumab plus cabozantinib had significantly better progression-free survival compared with those given sunitinib. Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) of the trial have now been published. Change from baseline in PRO scores indicated that nivolumab plus cabozantinib was associated with more favorable outcomes versus sunitinib.
