Overall survival with first-line amivantamab-lazertinib for EGFR-mutated advanced non-small cell lung cancer in the MARIPOSA trial

The multinational phase 3 MARIPOSA trial previously showed superior progression-free survival with amivantamab-lazertinib versus osimertinib among patients with previously untreated EFGR-mutated advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Overall survival analysis of the trial has now been published. Overall survival was significantly improved with amivantamab-lazertinib compared with osimertinib. The risk of adverse events of grade 3 or higher also was higher with amivantamab-lazertinib than with osimertinib (80% versus 52%), consistent with the known safety profile of each agent.
