Current risk stratification for patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma, based on disease stage and histology, is inadequate. Researchers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY) developed and validated OncoCast-MPM, a next-generation sequencing-derived machine-learning risk prediction model. The model accurately stratified patients into low-risk and high-risk groups.
