Multinational phase 3 trial of relacorilant plus nab-paclitaxel for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer

Relacorilant, a first-in-class selective glucocorticoid receptor antagonist, increases tumor’s sensitivity to chemotherapy. The multinational phase 3 ROSELLA trial found that among patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, addition of relacorilant to nab-paclitaxel was associated with prolonged progression-free survival, whereas interim results also showed improvement in overall survival. The authors conclude that the combination of relacorilant and nab-paclitaxel is a potential new standard treatment for patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.
