Multinational phase 3 study of asciminib versus bosutinib for CML-CP after two or more prior TKIs
Dr. Delphine Rea
Patients with chronic myeloid leukemia in chronic phase (CML-CP) resistant to 2 or more prior TKIs are at high risk of experiencing poor outcomes. Asciminib is a first-in-class STAMP (‘specifically targeting the ABL myristoyl pocket’) inhibitor. A multinational phase 3 study compared asciminib versus the TKI bosutinib for CML-CP after at least 2 prior TKIs. The study found that asciminib compared with bosutinib had superior efficacy and a more favorable safety profile.
