Multinational phase 2 trial of first-line brentuximab vedotin plus AVD for early-stage unfavorable-risk Hodgkin lymphoma
Prof. Luc-Matthieu Fornecker
The prognosis of patients with early-stage unfavorable-risk Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) is unsatisfactory. The multinational phase 2 BREACH trial evaluated first-line brentuximab vedotin combined with doxorubicin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine (BV-AVD) for early-stage unfavorable-risk HL. Patients were randomized to BV-AVD or doxorubicin, bleomycin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine (ABVD). BV-AVD compared with ABVD resulted in improvement of the PET-negative rate after two cycles.
