Few effective second-line treatments exist for women with recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer. The multinational phase 2 innovaTV 204/GOG-3023/ENGOT-cx6 study evaluated the tissue factor-directed antibody drug conjugate tisotumab vedotin for recurrent or metastatic squamous cell, adenocarcinoma, or adenosquamous cervical cancer with progression on or after doublet chemotherapy with bevacizumab, after two or less previous systemic regimens for recurrent or metastatic disease. Confirmed objective response was seen in 24% of patients (95% CI 16-33) with complete response in 7%. The safety profile was manageable.
