Multinational phase 2 study of cemiplimab for locally advanced basal cell carcinoma after hedgehog inhibitor therapy

A phase 2 study in Canada, Europe, and the United States evaluated the PD-1 antibody cemiplimab for locally advanced basal cell carcinoma after first-line hedgehog inhibitor therapy. The best overall response was complete response in 5 and partial response in 21 of 84 patients, for an ORR of 31% (95% CI 21-42). The safety profile was acceptable.
