Multinational phase 1b-2 trial of nivolumab with or without ipilimumab for pediatric high-grade CNS malignancies

Therapeutic options are limited in pediatric CNS malignancies. The multinational phase 1b-2 CheckMate 908 trial evaluated nivolumab with or without ipilimumab in five cohorts of pediatric patients with high-grade DIPG, glioma, medulloblastoma, ependymoma, or other CNS tumors. Nivolumab with or without ipilimumab did not demonstrate clinical benefit relative to historical data. The overall safety profiles were manageable with no new safety signals.
