Multinational phase 1b-2 trial of neoadjuvant combinations of immune checkpoint inhibitor combinations for resectable melanoma
Prof. Georgina Long
The multinational randomized phase 1b-2 Morpheus-Melanoma trial evaluated various neoadjuvant combinations of immune checkpoint inhibitors for resectable stage III melanoma. Tobemstomig (anti-PD-1/anti-LAG-3 bispecific antibody) resulted in similar pathological response rate as nivolumab plus ipilimumab (80.0% versus 77.3%) but had a better safety profile (2.5% versus 22.7% of patients experiencing grade 3 or higher treatment-related adverse events, respectively, and 0 versus 13.6% of patients discontinuing due to TRAEs, respectively).
