Multicenter retrospective cohort study of neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by interval debulking surgery for advanced endometrial cancer
Prof. Jae-Weon Kin
The mainstay of endometrial cancer treatments is surgical resection, followed by adjuvant treatment if necessary. There is no consensus on the management of unresectable metastatic endometrial cancer. A retrospective study in four centers in South-Korea found that neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by interval debulking surgery may be a treatment option for unresectable metastatic endometrial cancer. The median progression-free survival
was 19.7 months, and the 3-year overall survival rate was 69.7%.
