Multicenter retrospective analysis of real-world efficacy of relmacabtagene autoleucel for relapsed or refractory central nervous system lymphoma

Relapsed/refractory central nervous system lymphomas (R/R CNSLs) are associated with a poor prognosis. Relmacabtagene autoleucel (relma-cel) is a Chinese commercial CAR T cell therapy with activity and acceptable safety among R/R CNSL patients in the registration RELIANCE study. Retrospective analysis of real-world experience with relma-cel for R/R CNSL has now been published. Among 22 patients, complete response was seen in 68.2%. With a median follow-up of 316 days (range 55-618), the estimated 1-year rates of progression-free survival, duration of response, and overall survival were 64.4%, 71.5%, and 79.2%, respectively. CRS was seen in 72.9% of patients (grade 3 in 4.5%) and ICANS in 36.4% (grade 3 in 4.5%). The authors conclude that relma-cel demonstrated promising activity and acceptabel safety among R/R CNSL patients in the real world.
