Multicenter randomized trial of chemoradiotherapy versus chemotherapy after induction therapy for conversion of unresectable pancreatic cancer

The multicenter phase 3 CONKO-007 trial in Germany included patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer. After induction chemotherapy patients were randomized to continuation of the chemotherapy (CT group) or addition of radiotherapy to chemotherapy (CRT group). CRT compared with CT did not improve overall resection rate or survival, but did enable a R0 resection in surgically treated patients more frequently than CT alone.
