Multicenter randomized phase 2 study of camrelizumab with or without famitinib or chemotherapy for recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer
Prof. Xiaohua Wu
A multicenter phase 2 trial in China randomized patients with previously treated recurrent or metatatic cervical cancer (R/M CC) to camrelizumab plus famitinib (n=105), camrelizumab alone (n=54), or investigator’s choice of chemotherapy (n=35). The ORR in the three groups was 42.9% versus 22.2% and 14.3%, whereas the median progression-free survival was 8.1 months versus 4.1 months and 2.9 months, and the median overall survival was 20.2 months versus 14.9 months and 13.9 months. Grade ≥3 treatment-related adverse events were reported for 84.8% versus 15.1% and 60.0%. The authors conclude that camrelizumab plus famitinib had promising antitumor activity and a manageable safety profile among patients with pretreated R/M CC.
