Multicenter prospective study of CML outcomes according to baseline risk and first-line treatment in real-world setting

A multicenter prospective study in Italy investigated real-world outcomes with first-line imatinib versus second-generation (2G)-TKIs for CML in chronic phase. 2G-TKIs compared with imatinib resulted in faster responses (panel A) but no significant differences in time to progression (panel B) or CML-related deaths (panel C). There was a strong prognostic effect of the EUTOS long-term survival risk score.
