Multicenter phase 2 trial of zimberelimab monotherapy in patients with recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer

There is an unmet need to improve clinical outcomes of patients with recurrent/metastatic (R/M) cervical cancer. A multicenter phase 2 trial in China evaluated zimberelimab (anti-PD-1) for these patients. The study enrolled 105 patients aged 18-75 years with PD-L1 positive R/M cervical cancer. This figure shows results of the study. The ORR was 27.6% and the DCR was 55.2%. Median duration of response was not reached; median progression-free survival was 3.7 months; median overall survival was 16.8 months. The incidence of any grad treatment-related adverse events was 78.1%. The authors conclude that zimberelimab monotherapy had durable antitumor activity and acceptable safety in R/R cervical cancer patients.
